About Us
Founded in 2014 by Lientjie de Klerk, the non profit organisation, Huistoe Charity (NPO 143-964), was born from a deep love and mission to help those without a voice. Since then, we've grown into a safe haven where healing begins and second chances are possible.
Our primary focus at this moment are neglected, abandoned and abused dogs, however we help all animals as best we can and support local cat and animal organisations.
In a nutshell, we're just a bunch of dog-crazy-hoomans who believes wagging tails, wet noses, and happy barks can change the world. We are the ones covered in fur, running on coffee and powered by snoot-kisses.
At Huistoe, we rescue, rehabilitate, love and laugh our way through the madness of animal rescue. And even on the toughest days, we wouldn’t trade it for the world. Because animals... well... they ARE our world!
